Under the Mistletoe

"Another drink, Phil?"

"Thanks, Alex. This has turned out to be a good party, hasn't it?"

"Oh, look where you're standing. You'll have to get into the spirit of things now."

Alex looks up and then backs away.

"Naaa, you're all right."

Phil spots Dane standing in another part of the room.

"I really like this tune, Dane, don't you?" "It's okay, I suppose."

"Oh dear, what's that above you? Planning to give me a quick peck?"

Dane's eyes roll up and he rapidly makes an exit.

Phil mutters to himself. "Well, this had better work soon."

"Hi, Romey. Enjoying yourself?"

"Yeah, Lisa and I haven't been able to get out to a party in ages together. It was nice of Stuart to offer to baby-sit"

Phil glances up, but thinks better of asking.

"Excuse me, I want to ask Vince something."

Phil walks purposefully towards Vince, causing him to back up slightly.

"What a great night. Haven't enjoyed myself so much in ages. You're looking a bit down."

"Well, it's not the same when Stuart's not here, is it?"

"No, I guess not. Look up. Perhaps I could offer you a temporary alternative."

"Errr..."

Phil feels a tap on his shoulder and turns round to see Bernie.

"You know where you're standing, don't you? You can't back out of this."

Bernie grabs him in a deep and open snog.
